You might know the game portal already, it's that game with.. well, portals. Portal was a very original puzzle game, the first of it's kind. Basically you get a gun which shoots portals. You are dumped in a room, and you have to get to the elevator to complete the room. Portal 1 wasn't meant as a standalone game, since it was just a 'little' test to see if something like Portal was possible. They included it in The Orange Box as an extra game, and it became huge. A lot of people loved the game, that's when Valve realized these kind of games are fun, and with a few extra features, standalone games were possible.
Now the good news, as you might know already, Portal 2 is to be released soon! Basically it's Portal 1, in a new coat. It has some extra features, like pressure plates, repulsion and propulsion gel, and even more! But the biggest new-feature is of course the coop! Team up with your friends to solve these awesome puzzles together! Double the fun! I hope I can buy this game once it's out!
And now some thing I really LOVE about Valve (the developer of Portal), their trailers! They're awesome, and I really mean AWESOME. They have it all, product placement, humor, and me giving the feeling "I WANT THIS GAME"
^ That's one of the awesome trailers.
So, what do you think about Portal 2 and/or it's trailers? And will you buy the game once it's out? Leave your answer in the comments!
portal 1 was pretty cool. don't have the specs for portal 2 T__T
